Where to
begin about this account? SPC had us outlined for a slight risk of
severe weather all day, but knowing we were still in 2009, I was highly
skeptical. All day Cumulus clouds would bubble up and collapse thanks to
the cap so it was without saying I was beginning to get disappointed.
All the changed however as the SPC issued a tornado watch (#745) for all
of Northern IL and Northeast IN. The line moved closer to Chicago and I
was hoping to just see some lightning. I definitely received more than
that!
*Severe warned line moves in with
lightning and high winds.
* As I was sitting there, I would make
periodic checks back to the radar when at the 1:21 mark I saw a tornado
warning was issued for my area! Needless to say I was more than a
little overjoyed!!!
